Cuyahoga may soon become the first county in Ohio to ban the use of conversion therapy on minors and vulnerable adults.
County Councilman Robert E. Schleper, a former educator and council’s first openly gay member, introduced legislation on Tuesday to prohibit the practice, which has been overwhelmingly condemned by the medical community as being harmful to youth.

Six months into his new role on Cuyahoga County Council and Moreland Hills resident Robert E. Schleper Jr. has hit the ground running.
