Cuyahoga may soon become the first county in Ohio to ban the use of conversion therapy on minors and vulnerable adults.
County Councilman Robert E. Schleper, a former educator and council’s first openly gay member, introduced legislation on Tuesday to prohibit the practice, which has been overwhelmingly condemned by the medical community as being harmful to youth.

Today, I found out we won our election for Cuyahoga County Council in arguably one of the closest races in Cuyahoga County history. Ultimately, the race was decided by 245 votes out of over 62,000 cast. Indeed, your vote matters, your voice counts—and your hard work paid off.
